The Bristol Motor Speedway... The World's Fastest 1/2 Mile. This
legendary speedway is just a short drive from your kabin! The Motor
Speedway features a 700-foot dragway and hosts many events throughout
the year like NASCAR & Nextel Cup's finest drivers every April and August.

Beartree Lake Recreation Area... You may not see a bear, but you will
see a 16-acre lake for swimming and fishing (no motors allowed). A beach
300 feet long is open each day. There is no lifeguard on duty. A leisurely
trail winds around Beartree Lake, half paved with wheelchair accessible
fishing docks. The lake is well-stocked with trout. A state fishing license is
required.

Mt. Rogers Nat'l Recreation Area... This area offers an array of
activities including hiking to the summit of Virginia's highest peak, exploring
the Virginia Creeper Trail, the New River Trail, and the Appalachian Trail,
camping, horseback riding, biking, fishing, swimming, and hunting.

The Barter Theatre... Audiences of all ages enjoy the best in
American theatre, comedy, music, mystery, and more at this live professional
theatre that is the State Theatre of Virginia. Productions from February to
December are presented on two stages. Cafe and Giftshop.

Grayson Highlands State Park...Located just minutes from your
kabin, Grayson Highlands State Park offers something for every outdoor
enthusiast... from hiking, biking, horseback riding, to just having a picnic
lunch in a beautiful mountain setting.

The Martha Washington Inn... The Martha Washington Inn is truly an
American landmark. Located in Abingdon's historic district, the Inn was built
in 1832 as a private residence. Throughout the years it has served as a
college for women and a Civil War hospital.

Whitetop Mountain... The Green Cove Station is your last stop before
the trail leading to the top of Whitetop Mountain, which is Virginia's second
highest peak. The view of Whitetop (and Mt. Rogers) from the front porch of
your kabin is truly spectacular!

South Holston Lake... A 24 mile long lake that is formed by the third
largest earthen dam in the world and offers excellent fishing, boating, skin
diving, and water skiing opportunities, as well as camping and picnicking.
Just a short drive from your kabin.
